Vixen — Fierce. Focused. Fiery.

Vixen earned her name the moment she opened her eyes. With a red coat and a red-hot attitude to match, she’s bold, intense, and carries herself with the cool confidence of a dog who knows she’s special.

Our beautiful keeper from the Keepin' It Country litter, Vixen is a classic Doberman: deeply loyal and protective of her people, and gloriously aloof with everyone else. She’s serious, independent, and always thinking.  She's just a little bit wicked — an introverted redhead with a fiery heart and a short fuse for nonsense.  She has opinions, and she's not shy about them.

Behind that strong mind and under all that fire, there's a surprising softness.  Vixen is fiercely focused, with a quiet, earnest desire to get it right.  Vixen works hard.  But she doesn't just want to work - she wants to excel.  She wants to please.  It's this quiet intensity, this determination to meet her own impossible standard, that makes her truly unforgettable.  And when she knows she's nailed it, she glows.

She's a contradiction - tough as nails, and tender where it counts.

Conformation Queen

Vixen hit the show scene with her signature intensity. She finished her Canadian Championship in May 2022 — just four days before her first birthday — with a strong 4-point Best of Winners. Her Grand Championship followed swiftly that November at EKKOC, racking up gorgeous wins along the way, including Select Bitch at the British Columbia Doberman Pinscher Specialty.

She didn’t stop there. Vixen lit up the Sweepstakes ring, earning three Best in Sweepstakes wins (including at the BC Doberman Pinscher Specialty) and one Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes. Not bad for a girl who doesn’t suffer fools — or bad footing — lightly.

In 2023, Vixen made a statement in the group ring, taking home a Group 1 under breeder-judge Lynn White and a Group 3 under respected Doberman specialist Luis Silva. She finished the year as one of Canada’s Top 20 Dobermans, with multiple group wins and multiple group placements to her name.

When Vixen enters the ring, you feel it — she doesn’t chase attention. She commands it.

Brains Behind the Beauty

Vixen is more than a pretty face — she’s a powerhouse in performance, too.  She brings her own unique brand of focus to the ring, always trying her best, always seeking confirmation that she has delivered.

In Rally Obedience, she earned both her Rally Novice and Rally Intermediate titles with three straight qualifying scores each — all in the ribbons, of course. She’s now training toward her advanced Rally and formal obedience titles with the same laser focus she brings to everything else.

In Barn Hunt, she made quick work of her RATN and RATO titles, and is currently hunting down her RATS. Vixen has one leg under her belt, and with just a little more speed - and a little less inspection of the two-legged Rat Wranglers - she'll be on to her way to her Masters in no time.

Vixen is also proving her nose in NASDA, where she’s earned titles in Shed Hunt, Trail & Locate and Urban Locate. Let her loose, and she gets to work — no drama, no nonsense, just honesty and focus.

Poetry in Motion

2024 and 2025 saw Vixen tackle the agility field with her trademark concentration and precision. She started (and finished) her Jumps & Tunnels title at the AKC Summer Classic, and is now working toward her PAD and Standard titles.

Watching her run is like watching poetry in motion — if poetry had a no-nonsense attitude and occasionally stopped mid-course to inspect the pole setters. Priorities, after all.

Oh, and teeters?  Nope, not a fan, not even a little bit....

A Legacy in the Making

In January 2025, Vixen brought the next generation to Valhalla with a beautiful little singleton bitch — none other than the unforgettable Blitzen (though she’s not so little anymore!). Vixen will return to the whelping box in 2026, and we can’t wait to see what she gifts us next.

With brains, beauty, heart, a backbone of steel, and a temper to match her talent, Vixen will never be the easy dog - but she will always be the unforgettable one.  She is her own force, her own standard, her own story.

“You don’t tame a Vixen — you just travel in her wake.”

We count ourselves lucky to follow.
