Boots has a special place in our hearts. She has so much to offer the Doberman Pinscher breed. She is a gorgeous square red bitch with solid bone and substance, beautiful rear angles, a smooth neck to shoulder transition, level topline, great croup and tail-set. Her movement is stunning down and back and on the go-around.
In 2018, Boots achieved her Canadian Grand Championship and placed in the top twenty Dobermans in Canada for the year (owner-handled).
Boots is a methodical and serious worker with a balanced temperament. She excels in many different performance arenas including obedience, rally obedience, agility, and barn hunt. She is simultaneously both driven and sassy, and her favourite reward is a down and dirty game of tug, with a good kill shake when she wins. Boots has successfully added many titles to the back of her name over the years, and continues to do so now.
Boots has produced two phenomenal litters for us - 6 puppies out of Am/Thai/Can CH Holmrun's Beau Regard in 2021 & 10 puppies out of RBIS MBISS GCHS Crosswind's There's No Crying in Baseball in 2023. Boots' puppies take after their momma, they are both gorgeous and smart, and a number are out and about making waves in the conformation ring and various performance rings including obedience and agility. Boots has been awarded Best Brood Bitch three times in a row (two ADPC Regional Specialties and one DPCC Regional Specialty), honouring her wonderful contribution to our breed.
Boots is now retired from the whelping box, but she is certainly not retired from all of the games she loves the best!
We are currently focused on agility and barn hunt. Boots has one leg left towards her Rat Masters, and is enjoying hunting a little too much, and tunnels not quite enough lol!! She is also loving agility, and her exceptional athleticism is beautiful to watch when she navigates an agility course. One of the volunteers at our last trial said it best when she said "You show them how it's done, Momma" - and she does, every single time she enters the ring.
Boots turned 7 on September 1st of 2024, and has now entered the Veteran conformation ring. In her first weekend out, she enjoyed playing in the Veteran Group ring and the Veteran Best In Show ring four days in a row. She is loving every minute of it, and is thrilled to be back in the conformation ring!! She also loves all of the cheers and clapping that she receives as a Veteran when she happily races around the ring. We will be out lots in the remainder of 2024 and throughout 2025, so that the beautiful Bootsie can strut her stuff for all to see!!
Boots loves to cuddle on the couch or on the bed. She adores long walks in the forest. And she enjoys nothing more than a good squeaky toy. For Boots, to play is to live!
